MINISTRY MISSION: The altar team “sets God’s table” for Communion at the Sunday morning worship services at MCCGSL. The ministry of the Altar Team is vital to worship because communion is served EVERY Sunday, and is open to everyone at Metropolitan Community Church of Greater Saint Louis, as it is at all MCC churches around the globe.

RESPONSIBILITIES: As a member of the Altar Team, you would
be responsible for setting up the Communion elements prior to service or taking down the elements at the end of service.

SKILLS AND GIFTS: Self-starter. Ability to work by yourself. Attention to detail. Reliability. Accountability. Punctuality.

TIME REQUIREMENT: It takes approximately 15 minutes, as you become familiar with your duties, to perform the necessary tasks. If you are setting up, you arrive one-half hour early. Take-down occurs immediately after the service has ended. (This position requires you to wash out the Communion ware and put it away.) You will be trained on all the necessary steps.
