MINISTRY MISSION: We provide a range of programs to meet the needs of MCCGSL kids and families. In Children’s Church, we provide solid Christian teaching in a loving and supportive environment for school-aged children. While the kids are with our teachers, they will get an opportunity to praise God, learn about scripture, and participate in an activity. We are committed to providing our children with solid Christian education and a caring community in which they can learn and grow in their faith.
 
RESPONSIBILITIES: Communicate schedule preferences and conflicts with the team leader. On scheduled Sundays, check in with the pastor on duty by 10:15a, handle sign-in and pick-up procedures for children attending Children’s Church. Teach the lesson and guide the children through the activity. When finished return materials back where they belong to keep the room neat and ready for the next teacher. A minimum of two volunteers are required at all times with children.

SKILLS AND GIFTS: Children’s Ministry Team volunteers enjoy working with children and teaching them about God’s love. They are patient and dependable. Creativity helps! No experience necessary. A criminal background check is completed for each volunteer.

TIME REQUIREMENT: Children’s Church-A typical volunteer “works” one Sunday per month. There is also an annual training to assess curriculum and offer training for volunteers.
