Mission Statement

Our Mission Statement is the basic, bottom-line purpose of the church. It is what keeps the leaders and various ministry teams in alignment. The more diverse the ministries of the church are, the more important the mission statement.

Our mission, as Metropolitan Community Church of Greater Saint Louis, is to:
accept, embody and declare God's love for all.

Vision Statement
Our vision is the statement of where we are going.
Our vision at Metropolitan Community Church of Greater Saint Louis, is to be:
a progressive and inclusive Christ-centered community.

Values Statement
A "Values Statement" sets the basic beliefs and boundaries of opportunity in which individuals and groups within the congregation can live out the mission and vision statements. It provides the subtle boundaries that approve or discourage certain attitudes and behaviors.

As the Metropolitan Community Church of Greater Saint Louis,
 we highly value the following:

• Authenticity - We strive to be authentic people who are genuinely open, direct and truthful, considerate, respectful and fair, pure in motivation, and honest in relating with others.

• Grace - As believers who demonstrate grace, we gratefully receive God’s love, mercy, forgiveness, kindness, and compassion and then seek to extend this same grace to all we meet.

• Generosity - We endeavor to be generous people who look for involvement in opportunities to give of our time, talents, and financial resources while expecting nothing in return.

• Justice - We believe that that all people are deserving of equally full and enriching lives. Living out justice means going beyond our selves to work eagerly for the rightness and righteousness of God’s will in our diverse society.

• Growth - We as individuals and as a church seek continued growth and also endeavor to include, empower and develop others.

• Commitment – As a community of faith, we are committed to God and to one another. Therefore we covenant to be responsible and accountable for our actions and our inactions.
