OUR PLAN

Our experience over the past 35 years has shown us that God is faithful and provides resources for us “to accept, embody, and declare God’s love for all.” Therefore, we are engaging our entire congregation and community in order to reach our monetary goal. A project of this importance can feel daunting, but we believe this is what God has asked us to do. Although our needs are great, we are eager to see God’s work in our lives as we continue to step forward in faith.

We understand that it will take the resources of God for us to achieve this goal. We also understand that it will require each one of us to thoughtfully and prayerfully consider our response and then to take action.

As you consider your involvement in this campaign, please remember: God asks for equal sacrifice from each of us, but not for equal-sized gifts. No one can dictate to you your level of giving – it is entirely up to you, and only to be considered after prayer and reflection.

Your participation – at any level – will change lives. All gifts are welcome, regardless of size, knowing that for some a small gift may represent a portion of their financial resources that is equal to a much larger gift by another.

Independent CPA firms will carefully monitor these gifts. Each month, a certified public accountant completes and reviews our financial statements, and then presents them to the Board of Directors. At the close of each even-numbered year, an independent CPA firm audits our annual financial statements. On odd-numbered years, this CPA firm then reviews those financial statements. At least 93% of all funds raised through the Building Together: A Place to Call Home campaign will go directly toward our monetary goal. This layering of objective accountability ensures that gifts go toward the work for which they are intended.
