MIINISTRY EMAIL: pride@mccgsl.org

MINISTRY MISSION: To make the St. Louis GLBT community aware of MCCGSL and our beliefs through outreach at various Pride events. To affirm to the GLBT community that Gay and God are not mutually exclusive, but can be one in the same.

RESPONSIBILITIES: Organizing MCCGSL’s presence at the annual St. Louis Pride Fest, Metro-East Pride Fest and Black Pride celebrations.

SKILLS AND GIFTS: Anyone who is excited about sharing our church with the St. Louis community. This is our largest community outreach program. MCCGSL’s presence at the Pride celebrations touches many lives. If you like to paint, build things, sew, or just make stuff, you are welcome.

TIME REQUIREMENT: The pride team planning committee meets once a month January, February and March to organize a theme and ideas for the Pride celebrations. The planning committee meets more often in April to June getting ready for the Pride Festivals. The committee may designate “work nights” in May and June that require more people and hands-on help. There is a small reprieve and work resumes in July for the Pride celebration in August.
