A NOTE FROM OUR SENIOR PASTOR

Dear Friends,

It is an exciting time in the ministry of Metropolitan Community Church of Greater Saint Louis! In recent months, we have experienced spiritual and numerical growth in our faith community. We have also had unprecedented opportunities to share God’s love for all people with the greater St. Louis community. These opportunities, however, have brought challenges. At critical moments in our journey we have proclaimed, “We’ve come this far by faith.” Now it is time for us to step out in faith, once again, and trust that God will enable us to meet the needs of our current members as well as those visiting us on a weekly basis.

In recent years, MCC of Greater Saint Louis has striven to become “a bold and inclusive Christ-centered community” – giving generously of our time, our talents, and our financial resources. Indeed, God has utilized our church to make a difference in the lives of people in the greater St. Louis area. Our reputation as a warm and loving church community continues to grow and expand.

Yet, there are countless others who are still seeking a welcoming, affirming, and loving church home. Our mission “to accept, embody, and declare God’s love for all” requires us to continue to invest ourselves in the lives of others. We have come this far, but our mission is not yet fulfilled.

Because of the opportunities before us and the need to respond to them in faith, we are embarking on a capital campaign. Through this campaign, we will be able to provide a church building to facilitate many of the ministries needed in our community.

The title for this campaign is Building Together: A Place to Call Home. We believe this theme captures the spirit of what we are trying to accomplish at MCC of Greater Saint Louis as we reach out to those who still need a church home – a home where every person is welcome and affirmed. For all of us, MCC of Greater Saint Louis is already our place to call home. Now we give generously so that others may find their place to call home. Together, we will continue building far into the future – physically, emotionally, and spiritually.

It is my prayer that you will support Metropolitan Community Church of Greater Saint Louis’ Building Together: A Place to Call Home. Your prayers and support are needed and greatly appreciated. You will find some preliminary information with this letter. In the coming months you will receive additional information about this important work. Please know that you are important to us and your prayerful support is invaluable.
