Church Tour of New Building

  • 5880 Christy Boulevard St. Louis, MO, 63116 United States (map)

The building pictured above was just put on the market, and it meets nearly all of all the requirements on our wish list. We want to invite everyone to come to view the property and submit your feedback and guidance to the Board of Directors and Building Search Team, so that they can decide if we should make an offer on this space. If you need a refresher on any parts of our process, we have included the information in relevant sections below.

We will view this building located at 5880 Christy Blvd. or 4523 Rosa Ave. (it is on the corner) this Saturday, October 3rd from 11am-1pm. As a part of our COVID precautions, everyone must sign up for a time to tour the space. Click on the link below to reserve your spot.

If you are unable to attend, we have posted over 200 pictures of the building that you can view by clicking on the pictures link below. If you can't come on Saturday, you are also encouraged to email feedback to the Board of Directors at board@mccgsl.org.

The list price for this church is $495,000. The current balance in our Building Purchase Fund is $433,000.

Building Overview

The building was constructed in two parts. The first was the 7,000 square foot church building that was built in 1950. This building has a 3,500 square foot main floor (Sanctuary and offices), and a 3,500 square foot lower level (Fellowship Hall, kitchen, and storage).

The second building is an educational building that was built in 1960. It is also 7,000 square feet, divided equally in the upper and lower levels. The upstairs has many classrooms and the lower level was once a large open gymnasium, and temporary walls have now been added.

Currently, the entire 7,000 square foot educational building is rented out to a daycare at a price of $3,500/month, providing a nice bit of passive income for the church. Due to COVID, the daycare is not allowed to be open at this time, and the lease has expired. A new lease has not been signed because the current church felt that the option to renew the lease (or not) should be given to the new congregation who purchases the building. For our funding model, we would want to renew that lease, and welcome the daycare back as soon as our local leaders deem it safe for daycares to reopen.

You have three times to choose from: 11am, 11:30am and Noon. We are limiting each group to 30 people, so don't wait to pick your time!
