When They See Us

Join us for a discussion of the docu-drama series "When They See Us" produced, directed, and co-written by Ava DuVernay about New York’s Exonerated Five, formerly known as the Central Park Five. The film is presented in four parts or episodes. Using DuVernay's discussion guide, each week we will discuss one episode, exploring the issues of racism, white supremacy, law, and policing that led to five innocent kids being charged with rape and attempted murder.

Additional date/time: We are also grateful to announce that our partner in ministry, Mobilizing Love, is offering a discussion on Thursday nights from 7:00-8:30pm Central.

Requirements for participation: You have access to Netflix to watch documentaries, or be willing to read articles about the case.

You are invited to watch the documentary on Sunday nights if you want to watch the docu-series as a group via the Netflix Watch Party plug-in on Google Chrome. Instructions will be sent when you sign up. Screenings will be Sundays June 21- July 12 at 6:30pm. Note: We will screen the second documentary at 4pm on Sunday June 28th.
