  • Metropolitan Community Church of Greater St. Louis 7423 Michigan Avenue St. Louis, MO, 63111 United States (map)

Tuesdays, March 11 & 18 at 6:00pm
Via Zoom
Led by Professor Scott Angus

This two-part course explores the stories and lives of two transmen, Albert J. D. Cashier and Lyons Wakeman. Both served in the Civil War and were buried with honors as men. Professor Angus will uncover how these trans soldiers navigated their identities both in their personal and professional lives. This research by Professor Angus proves that the US Government recognized Trans Soldiers before identity policy came into fashion
